Tochukwu Egesi

Tochukwu Egesi is a manager in the Financial Service Strategy practice. He is head of payments and digital, and practice lead for Lusophone Africa and Nigeria.
In this role, he collaborates with regulators, national switches, development partners, banks, fintechs and card schemes on research, strategy and policy. His work has benefitted clients such as the National Bank of Rwanda, the African Development Bank, Mastercard, Zimswitch, the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisers.
He was previously associate manager in the data and services division at Mastercard, where he also led the Sustainability and Financial Inclusion practice for the Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
Tochukwu holds a master's in Inclusive Innovation from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business.
