Thandiwe Ng’ombe is an associate in the Evaluation for Development practice at Genesis Analytics and is based in the East African office in Nairobi.
She has experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), with specific skills in qualitative and quantitative impact evaluation methods. She has conducted a number of large-scale evaluations and research assignments focused on job creation through enterprise development and improving youth economic opportunities in sub-Saharan Africa.
In addition to conducting evaluations, Thandiwe has advised a variety of public and private organisations such as donors, foundations and governments and has assisted them in developing and implementing monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) frameworks.
Her experience cuts across multiple sectors related to international development and poverty alleviation, including financial inclusion, digital financial services, agriculture and food security, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), renewable energy, youth economic opportunity, community and enterprise development.
In her role as an associate, Thandiwe is responsible for the design of research instruments, data collection and analysis. She has extensive knowledge of various impact measurement approaches, data-collection methods and tools.
