Roland Banya is an associate in the Financial Services Strategy practice.
Previously he worked on donor-funded projects and with regulators, government agencies, commercial banks, payment service providers, industry associations and in development finance among other institutions. He worked on projects related to financial services strategy, digital financial services, payments, impact assessment, with SMMEs, smallholder farmer support as well as the green economy. He managed projects that designed and implemented research methodologies.
Roland obtained a bachelor’s in Economics and Public Administration and an MSc in Economic Development and International Finance from the University of Kent. He completed a PhD in Finance at the Graduate School of Business of UCT.
