Jamie Robertsen

MEL Specialist (Resilient Waters)

Jamie Robertsen is a monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) specialist on the team of the resilient waters programme (Genesis partners on project for more resilient and water-secure Southern Africa) and is based in the South African office in Johannesburg.

Her areas of expertise lie in large-scale programme evaluations and in designing monitoring and result measurement frameworks. Jamie is skilled in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. She has experience in conducting public sector evaluations and in the financial inclusion, governance, youth employment opportunities, development finance and climate change sectors. In addition to evaluation, Jamie has a keen interest in building evaluation capacity in South Africa and implements the practice’s internal training and skills development programme.

Before joining Genesis, Jamie worked as a research and strategy analyst at Frontier Advisory, where her focus was on intra-emerging market relationships.

She has a master’s in Development Evaluation and Management from the University of the Antwerp (Belgium). Jamie also holds an honours in Development Studies from the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa).
