Genesis opens Nairobi office to expand East Africa work

4 July 2016

Genesis Analytics has opened an office in Nairobi to boost its work in financial services strategy, competition economics, infrastructure development and monitoring and evaluation in East Africa.

Nyawira Miano is the manager of the Kenyan operations of Genesis. Prior to running her own business for the past two years, Nyawira was senior programme officer for the African Capacity Building Foundation in Harare and an economic and policy analyst at the Central Bank of Kenya in Nairobi. She replaced Betty Maina, who was appointed Permanent Secretary for East African Affairs in the Kenya government by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Chair of Genesis, Stephan Malherbe, said: “Nyawira will further drive our already rapid expansion in East Africa. Her tasks are to develop our profile, deepen our relationships and generate business with all our practice areas doing business in East Africa.’

Nyawira has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Strategic Management) from the United States International University in Nairobi, an MA (Development Economics) from Williams College in Massachusetts, USA, and a BA from the University of Adelaide in Australia.
